Deltas are transition zones where fresh water mixes with salt water. They are areas of exchange, often teeming with nutrients and marine life. This potential cornucopia is under threat, however, because over half of the world’s population is concentrated around deltas. Estuary unites fresh water and salt water in a closed system. While salt-water organisms fight for their lives, their forced death allows freshwater life to blossom. This work highlights the colourful behaviour of living organisms wrestling with a scenario created by human hands.
