The BAD is BACK! After a year of radio silence, the Bio Art & Design (BAD) Award 2022 is back. And how! No less than 5 partners from Brabant - BioArt Laboratories, Dutch Design Foundation, MU Hybrid Art House, Next Nature and The Master Institute of Visual Cultures (St Joost School of Art & Design) - will join forces to connect international creative talent with prominent Dutch scientists and explore the future of bio art & design.

As in the previous 10 years in which the BAD Award made its name internationally, on 1 June an independent jury will choose the three winners from 11 teams of artists & scientists. Each winning team will receive 25,000 euros to realise their project proposal. The works will be shown in a special group exhibition at MU this winter.

Are you curious which teams will win, and would you like to learn more about the other projects? Come to MU on 1 June from 15.00. All eleven participants pitch their project to the public. At 16.30 the chairman of the jury announces the three winners.

Entrance is free, but do register beforehand. You can also follow the event online via a livestream.
