More news soon on BAD Award redesign

To ensure a possible successful survival of the BAD Award, we are forced to recalibrate the farreaching collaboration-based design, organisation and funding that has been carrying it for many years. But the BAD network is still alive and we are working on new alliances to reopen the BAD calls in the near future.

We still strongly believe in the equal explorations of art, design and science. We see the strength of the many dozens of talented international creators who have been able to use the BAD Award as a springboard for their work over the past 15 years. And luckily so do some interesting potential partners.

At a time when everything is rapidly and unpredictably changing, and both art and science are under pressure, we are re-examining our tried-and-tested practices to allow them to evolve further.

We are taking 2026 for redesigning and rebuilding the BAD Award's valuable foundation for international art-science collaborations in a sustainable and future-proof way. For this, good partners and sufficient means are indispensable. Hopefully this year our potential new partners and us at MU Hybrid Art House will work out a strong case for the BAD Award to prosper for another 5 years.
